Russell is a Sixth Fleet Player. During his time aboard the Sixth Fleet he has served aboard the USS Cambrian, the USS Hyperion (NX-7438) and Starbase Sierra 6
He plays Commander Grendon, currently the Acting Commanding Officer aboard the USS Hyperion (NX-7438) and played Lieutenant Gran Dar aboard the Starbase Sierra 6 prior to the departure of the sim in January 2013, with both characters originating aboard the USS Cambrian.
He has been a member of Sixth Fleet since July 2011 and received a promotion to Commander during the Sixth Fleet's 7th birthday awards. Following the retirement of Commodore Nigel Gillson from the Sixth Fleet he was chosen to step up and command the USS Hyperion.
